CPIN Calculator - About

What is CPIN Calculator?
CPIN Calculator helps CPIN users keep track of their due dates, timelines, Agreements and Reviews dates. CPIN Calculator is primarily a learning tool meant to help CPIN users understand how the outcome plan milestones are calculated. CPIN Calculator is not associated with the Ministry or OACAS. It is an independent tool build by a small group of CPIN users based on CPIN milestones specifications and QIP requirements.

Who is it addressed to?
This tool is built to assist where CPIN milestones are not functional or not available (migrated cases, OCW Inter-agency Case Transfer Cases, etc).

This app can also be useful to CPIN users as it can help determine not only the next documentation due date but also the main elements that need to be included in each documentation in order to ensure compliance (compliance checklist to be used only as guidance, consult your supervisor).

Features
◦ Find the next documentation due date
◦ Find your next Review and Agreement Start and End date
◦ Compliance Checklist for each documentation and case type (guidance only, consult your supervisor as agency expectations may be different)
◦ Save the data to your Outlook Calendar and receive reminders (via Outlook calendar) before the Documentation Due Date.
◦ Mobile site accessible from your mobile device

Disclaimer
This tool is intended to align with the CPS Standards and CPIN Date Calculations. It will calculate the due dates as described in the Standards (timelines are captured using algorithms that add days as well as months).
While the intent is to align the timelines with the CPS and QIP calculations, in some situations the dates calculated may be different from the dates in CPIN or QIP, given differences in calculation approaches between different programming concepts. There are also two known CPIN application milestones defects that will impact on the final due date calculated for (1) Initial Assessment an Plan Ongoing Case (2) Agreement end date - Subsequent Ongoing - Ongoing Case.

The users of this tool accept it "as is" without any guarantees and understand that date calculator results may be different than the timelines in CPIN, CPS or QIP guide. CPIN Calculator is a learning tool that will help users understand how timelines are calculated in CPIN. CPIN Calculator is an independent tool, not associated with MCSS or CPIN application. CPIN Calculator does now own any rights to CPIN application.
